The origin of JSS Mahavidyapeetha (JSS-MVP), a formidable educational movement, can be traced to the establishment of a small hostel in 1928 to cater to the accommodation needs of students pursuing higher studies in Mysore. His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji established the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Mahavidyapeetha (JSSMVP) in 1954 and it was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1960.

SJCE-STEP, or SJCE - Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park, is a well-established business incubation center located in Mysuru, India. Founded in 1985 with support from the Indian government's Department of Science & Technology, SJCE-STEP has a long history of supporting entrepreneurship and innovation. Over the past three decades, the center has offered training, mentoring, coaching, and consulting to help students, corporates, entrepreneurs, and startups grow and succeed in their careers. SJCE-STEP has earned a reputation as a top-performing business incubation center, having received the BEST STEP award from the Indian government in 2000. With a focus on fostering entrepreneurship, SJCE-STEP plays a crucial role in the development of impactful startups and the growth of the nation's prosperity.
